I am using Windows Vista operating system and my browser is Mozilla Firefox. The problem that I am having in my system is that I cannot remove Trojan.Dldr.FraudLo.sxm. The Avira antivirus that I am using in has detected this infection, but it has not been successful to get rid of the same. I cannot understand why this is problem is happening. Please help me with the solutions that I can use in this situation.

Try using the manual deletion method if you cannot remove Trojan.Dldr.FraudLo.sxm from the system. For this, you will have to find and remove the following files from the system, only after killing their processes from the task manager. Here are the files with which the above tasks have to be performed:
    • AntivirusPro_2010.exe
    • AVEngn.dll
    • Install[1].exe
    • wscui.cpl
    • scui.cpl

Hello there, the antivirus that you are using in your system cannot remove Trojan.Dldr.FraudLo.sxm, since this infection is a trojan horse. Their programs seem to be genuine from outside and they work internally for the destruction of the system. So, I guess that you will have to format the computer and install a fresh copy of Windows to get rid of this problem.

If you cannot remove Trojan.Dldr.FraudLo.sxm, then I suggest you to install an anti-spyware in your system, that can stay in the background of the system and check for the malicious activities that are going on. When it finds the applications and the programs that are causing such problems, they are simply removed from the computer permanently. This will hopefully solve the problem.

The system restore will help if you cannot remove Trojan.Dldr.FraudLo.sxm using any of the techniques. This is a very harsh method that removes all the applications and softwares that are installed in the system. So, you will have to remember a time when you are sure that the infections had not entered in the system. Only then, do the system restore. This method will also remove the infections that had been installed during this time interval.

Boot scan is the best method that can be used if you cannot remove Trojan.Dldr.FraudLo.sxm from the computer. This method is available with the Avast antivirus, so you will have to install this antivirus in your system. This method can remove the infections, since the scan is done before the operating system loads because of which the infections remain inactive as they are not able to execute.
