I am using Windows Vista operating system and my browser is Opera 10. Recently, my computer has been infected with Artemis!41CC2A188226 and the Avira antivirus, that has been installed in my system alerted me about the same. Even if it has detected the infection, it has not been able to get rid of it. If anyone knows any solution that can be used in this situation, please help me with suitable replies.

    Artemis!41CC2A188226 is a trojan horse

Artemis!41CC2A188226 is a trojan horse and it not able to get rid of trojans so easily. This is because they seem to be genuine programs from outside, but internally work as a very destructive weapon to destroy the computer. So, if the computer is infected with Artemis!41CC2A188226, then I recommend to format the system and install a new copy of operating system in it.

Avira is not a recommended antivirus

I think that Avira is not a recommended antivirus and that is why it is not able to remove the infection from your system. I use AVG antivirus and it has been recommended by many experts that it is able to remove all kinds of infections like virus, worms and trojans. So, if your computer is infected with Artemis!41CC2A188226, then I suggest you to install AVG antivirus and then, run a full system scan of all the hard drives and flash drives. The infections that are detected during the scan are simply to be removed from the system.

    Always use an anti-spyware

It is advised that you should always use an anti-spyware to keep the system free of Artemis!41CC2A188226 and other such infections. If your computer is infected with Artemis!41CC2A188226, then I suggest you to install Spyware Doctor, since this is the best anti-spyware that I have ever used. It will remain in the background of the system and remove the applications and programs that are causing malicious activities.

    Boot scan will help

Boot scan will help if your computer has been infected with Artemis!41CC2A188226. All antivirus do not have this feature of boot scanning. So, I suggest you that you should first uninstall the previous antivirus installed in your system, since installing two antivirus can cause conflicts. After the uninstallation, install Quick Heal antivirus. Boot scanning the system will surely remove the infections from the system because this scan takes place before the operating system loads.
