    Damage by a malware to windows

    What does a damage caused by a malware to a system. I have a Windows computer. I need to install new softwares daily. So due to some improper files my system in infected with malware. If I leaved the same then does it effectes my computer. If it effect the computer then how to get rid of it. Give me some information on it.
