It’s SOCKS protocol was originally developed for the giving the additional security to Firewall, SOCKS protocol also called Security Protocol, Using this protocol in the layer is good because other security products are easy to administrate. Re: SOCKS Internet Protocol

SOCKS Internet Protocol use the Handshake Protocol, because the Handshake Protocol it’s goes easy to inform the Proxy Software about the connection, here the client also try to used for any TCP or UDP Socket Connection. It’s very use full to find whereas an HTTP and HTTP headers are sent through it in order to their recover, also in their request order. Currently there is some versions of SOCKS protocol are available like SOCKS v4 and SOCKS v5. SOCKS v4 uses TCP as a transport.
