    Sharing resources via Internet

    Hi
I wanted to know if it's possible for two remote computer connected to the Internet can share resources as if they were local network? The argument that answer, this is important, because it allows me to understand the operation. Thank you for your cooperation

    Hello
In other words do you mean p2p? Then for the interest, depending on the resource sharing and the exchange rate needed. There are projects for resource sharing cpu running, generously allows the user to load a program to load and occupancy of a certain percentage of his machine. The program runs (normally) in the background (not a priority for a sub), and exchange from time to time with a group of ordinary scattered around the world. Very useful for intensive computing (or the big simulation (physics, chemistry, math ...), is often around the crypto).

    Hi
To answer your AC goes, but I still have concerns. If we specify: eg shared hard drives of these two positions (by setting permissions to access both sides) as if it was P2P, but with the latter as internet tunnel. If it is feasible or not, argue your answer while giving me equipment or software that may come into play in case it's positive.

    Hi
My suggestion will be rather VPN: Virtual Private Network (VPN). The principle is to encapsulate a network to another to extend a LAN through a third network (here Internet). You will find full of docs on the internet that will explain the operation and the different techniques:
    - IPIP
    - GRE tunnel
    - IPSec
    Hope this helps you.

    Hello
For shared privately between two machines clearly identified, that the above response is more appropriate. "My suggestion will be rather VPN: Virtual Private Network (VPN)". I think you should go with the suggestion of VPN. Try it and if any more queries do post back. Best of Luck.

    Hey gusy
Thank you for the clarification, now remaining is my responsibility to read the topic. I have decided to implement the VPN, I will first read it and then try to implement it, if any problem then I will post here and I know you guys will help me out with my problem. I had never though of VPN, actually the concept is new to me. Still, I will read information about it and will try to implement it.
