I think that my computer is infected by some W32/Alureon.A!Generic virus. I am currently using the AVG Antivirus . Because whenever I start my computer it shows a warning your system is infected by W32/Alureon.A!Generic . Please suggest how can i remove W32/AlureonA!Generic from my system. I have also suffered these sort of infection a month ago . I tried a lot of procedures given by my friends . Also visited a lot of forums and tried to remove this infections by trying different types of Antiviruses but all that efforts turned to of no use. Finally I formatted my computer and then installed the Operating system again.

This W32/Alureon.A!Generic infection are also called Worm.Win32.AutoTDSS!IK infection. So if you are facing either of these problem try these steps

    1. Click on Start menu.
    2. Go to run.
    3. Type devmgmt.msc and click OK. A new window appears .
    4. Now, On the View menu click on Show hidden devices .
    5. Go to Non-Plug and Play Drivers and you will see something like TDSSserv.sys
    6. Highlight that driver and right click on it and select "DISABLE"
    7. Now, RESTART your computer.

I am also an internet freak and always keep on doing research for problems like this . Please do not format your system because you do not need to do so. For this you just have to download a copy of Malwarebytes but don't run it yet. After downloading just rename the downloaded installer of Malwarebytes to any name such as you wish like abc.exe or yourname.exe .Now Install this by double clicking on it. After the installation try to update it if you can ,after installing the update scan your system . This will surely solve your issue

I think the malwarebyte could not help you because i have already tried it but it could not help me Then at last i download the A@ free from the download itself. Also we do not have to rename this before the installation . I installed and updated it then ran a smartscan this helped me and after the scan my system was running smoothly.
