To avoid phishing identity theft, when you go to create a password. Choose long chains composed of at least 8 characters, using combinations of numbers and letters.

Another thing you should not do is use the password the name of a close relative, as many of the phishing or identity theft that occur on a daily basis, come from people in the vicinity of defrauded, so is better does not help matters.

If for some reason has been the victim of data theft or phishing attacks, is best suited to reset the password of that record hacked. This step also applies to those who have not yet had a phishing attack, as this way we will be sure to block the possibility that someone is using or speaking our conversations, emails, etc.. Another advice I give you, is that think to use different passwords for different records. Thus, if they suddenly went hacker's any of your passwords, data and other relevant records will be free of any phishing attempts.

Email is perhaps one of the methods used by Phishing tactics. When you receive an email, should be set at the exact address of the sender, regardless of the name comes out as the Phisher often take advantage of a superficial reading of the users to create a virtual layout of the pages that we usually see.

When surfing the net and use of technology to online shopping or banking online, it is important to have specialized security programs installed as Antivirus, Anti-Phishing or Anti-Keyloggers.

Many of the Phisher use programs installed on your computer to record the keys you press and where we do (Keyloggers). It is therefore essential to use these programs, along with a firewall or spam filter will block 90% of phishing emails.

The most important thing, the public computers located in offices, cafeterias, libraries, etc.. have become one of the main objectives of the usurpers of data.

Through Trojans and Keyloggers, pick on these computers phisher all kinds of information, as used to be open to many people, no one actually controls the safety of equipment.

When you access your mail, bank account, etc.. on a public computer, ideally from a browser to navigate portable, installed on a flash drive itself. If you do not have, make sure not save user data and password in the browser, and when you finish using it, delete temporary files and cookies.

Phishing attacks on the network, often using domain redirects to pages with fake, but who have identical copies of original pages. A very useful advice to avoid falling into neglected to check the URL is saved in favorite pages to access our bank, email or online payment management as Paypal. Still, it is advisable that if you made payments online or accessed your accounts, I recommend that the state observes these and revise bank statements in order to locate a possible case of Phishing.
