Can connect to WIFI, but cannot get IE to open pages

I need help desperately. I do not want to have to mail my laptop to our tech support for a rebuild and yet on the phone they cannot help me find the answer to my problem.

When I travel outside of my home network to say Panera bread, a hotel or anyplace with WIFI, my laptop will show that I am connected to the wifi but will not let me surf the web. When I do IPconfig and I ping an IP address it comes back with replies but when I try to ping say yahoo.com it does not work. Please anyone that can help me I am desperate.

We changed the properties in the wifi properties to go to a specific DNS and that worked for one time and then it doesnt work. I changed it back to automatically obtain and still is not working.

Here is what I get when I type in ipconfig/all...... I am at a loss. this is the information while I am at work on the network not sure if it matters if I do it when I am at any other wireless area. It works on the network and I can surf the net and ping actual Domain names. When I am at home or in any other area though on another wireless system I cannot ping domain names, but I can ping IP addresses.
