Anybody knows the procedure to delete autorun virus ?

Hi all,

It seems that my computer is infected by the virus. Whenever I try to open any drive such as D, I am not able open it directly first it displays the "Open with" option. How can I get rid over this "autorun" virus?
I am waiting for your suggestions.

Your system is infected by a virus. So just installed any update antivirus and scan your computer. After that you should do one thing go on command prompt on c drive and write the following command c:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf then c:\> del autorun.inf. Same command repeat for all the partition of hard disk and restart your computer.

Shen is suggested the right procedure for deleting autorun virus , if that will not work you will try also try this method. Go to start, Run and and type regsvr32 /i shell32.dll and press ok. Then a pop up message is found DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shell32.dll succeeded. This will rectify your drive and your D drive is always open with double click.

Your system is infected with shell virus that destroy the shell of your drive. So first you should remove all the virus by scan. Remember one thing you should scan all the files and folder including registry file and shell files also. Then follow the Sheen procedure. If you plug any infected USB or external device on your system, please first scan them whether the virus come again and again.
