Can not share Printer in Win 7 with Win 2000

Hello, I am currently using the windows 7 and even i am using the printer perfectly fine which is connected to the this computer. Now i have shared this computer to the another one. And i am using windows 2000 on another computer. But when i try to share my printer with the computer which has windows 2000 then windows 7 does not let me do that. Can anybody tell me why it does not allow me to share printer ?

Actually it should not be showing you any error generally to share a printer between two computers. And do not be blaming to windows 7 for this issue. As it seems like your firewall would be stopping you from the sharing. Just make your firewall disable temporarily. You can follow this steps to do the same.
1. Go to Start menu, then go to run and type " services.msc ".
Make sure that you are in administrator profile.
2. Then choose properties of " Windows Firewall " service by right clicking on it.
3. And disable it from the " Startup type " option and click OK.
Then try sharing your printer again.

Whenever you try to share anything on your computer then you should be clear about all the settings that are needed to share a particular device. Here also it might be the settings by which your printer is not allowed for sharing. Anyway try the following settings, They might solve your problem.
1. Go to the control panel from the start menu.
2. then double click on the Network and Sharing Center.
3. Select for the "Change advanced sharing settings" option on the right side panel.
4. There you will find Network discovery and File and printer sharing, so please turn on that.
After changing the above settings restart your system.

It seems like your driver for printer is not working properly in computer which has windows 2000. For this you should be using the drivers cd which you must be having which comes with your computer. Or you may use some other source also to install it. First install the printer driver for your windows 2000 then reboot your computer. Then try to install your printer with the maximum available options to share. Now your printer must not give any errors to share with the other systems.
