I am getting too much junk mails in mail every day. The mails are just a headache. Everyday around 200 mails are delivered in my mail box which is of no use. All comprises of news, letters and ad's. I had tried to unsubscribed some but of no use. What are best anti spamming techniques.

Filtering is the method which can be utilized for this purpose. This method is to delete or block emails from keywords in the address of the sender, message body, subject etc. This technique is limited in the sense that to be effective, it must register a large number of keywords and the chances of errors are quite large. This technique can be used on the client side or on the mail server.

With this technique the messages are identified by the triplet. If the recipient's mail server using this technique does not recognize this triplet it will refuse the mail. The mail server of the sender is then to try again (which is not the case for spammers using infected machines etc. Because they are not real mail servers).The triplet is representing the recipient's mail server will accept it and add it to a white list.

Here are some tips to try to stop spam or make it less painful. Use message rules in your mail client to automatically delete certain emails from the subject, sender etc. Outlook Express go in Menu Tools > Message Rules > Mail. In Mozilla Thunderbird click on Tools menu and select Message Filters.
