D link di-524m wireless router error

I recently installed D link wireless router(DI-524M) on my network. The problem is after installing new router i am unable to connect to my wireless network from my dell laptop. I have tried to connected to internet via another router with same laptop it does not give any problem.

Did you try to reset the modem?
There is a small hole on the backside labeled "RESET" keep pressing it for around 10 seconds or until all lights on the front turn off.

Does the software for the wireless card have any provision to "join" a network? Open Local Area Connection window from windows xp control panel > Select the General tab and click, or highlight Internet Protocol and press Properties >The TCP/IP Properties window will appear > Make sure that both the Obtain an IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically are selected, or checked.

Firstly check that your laptop can 'see' the di-524m wireless router.To do this, right click on your "My Network Places" icon and select Properties. Look for the "Wireless Network Connection" icon. Does it say "Connected" or "Enabled"?

Check the IP, netmask and gateway on the labtops which was connected before installing new di-524m router. Then shut down those labtops, and manually set these network information (IP, netmask, gateway) on the problem labtop and then test, see whether it works.
