Windows 7 and Intel wifi problem

I recently tried to install Windows 7 Ultimate on my pc and inbetween the installation i got a message that the installation could not be performed and some Intel Proset Wifi software was needed to be uninstalled? If I continue without installing the wifi software then I wont have any internet connection for me? Can anyone tell me how to bypass this message so that I can have my internet connection intact? Thank you

What is the specs of your computer? Do you get any other error messages along with the intel wifi error? Have you tried connecting to the internet via a cable so that you can complete your installation?

Well, I guess you will still have to wait till the driver for your intel wifi proset is released for the Windows 7 OS. As with all new operating system's there aren't really any official drivers until the OS gets released. Your second choice is to use Vista or even xp drivers. Lastly is a NDA with the OEM and you compile your own from sources.

Did you search intel for your wifi version drivers? Here, I found the Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility but for Windows 7 64-Bit.
