    Multiple FQDN's in SBS 2008

    Hello Folks:

I have heard somewhere that the Windows 2008 SBS server's wizard won't allow you to configure Multiple FQDN's if you are having more than one email. once I found In SBS 2003,had 5 domain names and everything went pretty fine. I did not use the wizard to configure them up though. So what am asking is that can I go for more than one FQDN in SBS 2008?

    Please advise....

Yes you can, but they have to be setup manually, just as you did in 2003.Also this is not the newsgroup for SBS 08 support.I think you want to have mail from multiple Internet domains, which is pretty good. The CEICW in 2003 won't allow you add more than one either. You add them all later in Exchange. And yes, this works fine in SBS2008 as well as in prior versions of Exchange.

I think it is possible and comfortable for you.You need the FQDN hostname to be in the domain that is your preliminary domain and the one that solutions when an smtp connection is made, that's all. For extra domains you only requireto point your MX & A records to the server. If you go to this site, they offer a web based tool to configure a certificate request for your Exchange 2007 server.

Additionally, to configure your primary domain name, you required to run the Internet Address Management Wizard. Anyway, to configure your secondary domain, you have to manually make the E-Mail Address Policy.Check the article on Hosting Multiple Domains on SBS 2008/Exchange 2007. Also, if you have any questions or concerns.Hope this helps.
