linksys wrt600n can't connect intel wifi link 5300

I have Dell Studio 1555 Laptop and having an issue with the wireless card. I wanted to replace the stock card in my Dell studio. I have tried every setting, but it will NOT connect to any type of wireless-N connection. I have a Linksys WRT600N Dualband Wireless-N Router, fully upgraded to the latest firmware.
I have not been able to connect to wireless N at all in both Vista x64 and Windows 7 x64.

If you need any additional information or screenshots, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

IF you are using the Intel Proset wireless client it's known to have issues with Linksys 'N' gear like the WRT600N -- While it is a full fledged 5300 AGN card, this is a FULL SIZE Mini-PCI card. Make sure your system not only supports a full size mini-pci card, but the slot that does is situated near the antennae wires. so if you are using the Proset wireless client I would modify its installation by removing all of its components except for the drivers then use Vista or Win 7 native wireless client to work with 'N'.

The other approach is to contact Intel and see if they have a newer version of the Intel Proset client specifically for the 5300 chip set. N band support is top notch, and Intel drivers are constantly being refined and updated and work great (skip the network software and just install the drivers.

In view of the fact that you DELL laptop is as new as you suggest You should contact DELL again and see if they would reconsider their support position otherwise I would recommend that you return the laptop for a full refund. Not sure about the channels on Wireless N. On wireless G, I use channel 11. Try the highest Wireless channel on the N bank in your wireless router, that might help. The card comes with drivers on CDROM, I did install these and updated drivers from Intel website.
