    Symantec Alert Trojan.pws.wsgame.origin

    Hello , I have a windows xp computer , Can you tell me what is these trojan.pws.wsgame.origin game , i am getting alert from the symantec like symantec alert trojan.pws.wsgame.origin detected , but it cannot remove it , please tell me how can i remove the trojan.pws.wsgame.origin from my computer , please help me , thanks in advance

    1.Temporarily Disable System Restore;

    Disabling the System Restore Utility (Windows XP Users)
    • Right click the My Computer icon on the Desktop and click on Properties.
    • Click on the System Restore tab.
    • Put a check mark next to 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.
    • Click the 'OK' button.
    • You will be prompted to restart the computer. Click Yes.

    Note: To re-enable the Restore Utility, follow steps one to five and on step three remove the check mark next to 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.

    2.Reboot computer in SafeMode;
    3.delete Trojan.PWS.Wsgame.origin virus files and kill Trojan.PWS.Wsgame.origin file task process(if have);
    4.Delete/Modify any values added to the registry by Trojan.PWS.Wsgame.origin ;
    5.delete IE temp files,restart the computer and run a whole scan with DrWeb. Trojan.PWS.Wsgame.origin virus files

    Trojans do not self-replicate. They are spread manually, often under the premise that the executable is something beneficial. Distribution channels include IRC, peer-to-peer networks, newsgroup postings, e-mail, etc.


    Removal -
    AVERT recommends to always use latest DATs and engine. This threat will be cleaned if you have this combination.
