Error 768 - The connection attempt failed because of failure to encrypt data

Hello,

I have p4/846 pc with windows xp. I have sony ericsson w550i which i have connected with my pc using bluetooth, My problem is that airtel grps is not working. When I am try to connect pc with my airtel GPRS via bluetooth, I get the error 768 I have configured vpn server as default ( Same as in mobile). Drivers for the mobile modem are properly installed.

Error 768: The connection attempt failed because of failure to encrypt data.
Fix: Disable encryption in the connection properties.

Did you have something? Did you in your new PC to connect properties something encryption checked?

Hi,

You need to be checked out VPN settings:

• Go to network connections and right click on the VPN connection icon. go to the security tab and select "advanced."
  
• From the drop down, select "optional encryption" this will allow it to connect without encryption.
  
• Use MSCHAP version .

now try to connect VPN connection.

Solution : You have you start the IPSec Services, you can do this by ...

• Click on Start
• Go to Control Panel
• Go to Administrative Tools
• Go to services and applications
• Click on Services
• Locate IPSec Services
• Verify service has started, if not,
• Right click IPSec Services
• Select Start
• Verify service startup type is Automatic
