    How to remove couponbar

    Hello,
I dont know what my little brother did with my pc, but all of a sudden now I am getting a lot of ads from something called Couponbar. I tried to remove it manually but nothing works. I can see that it is somewhere located in my internet explorer toolbar. Can anyone help me remove out this nasty. Thank you

Disable add-ons of Couponbar on IE browser:
    Open IE6 > Tools > Manage Add-ons > Disable add-ons of CouponBar.
Then use windows file Search tool to find Couponbar files and remove them, and use Registry Editor to remove Couponbar registry keys. Please visit this page for the details about the manual instruction: http://www.threatremove.com/remove-couponbar/
Or, try Spyware Cease! It can help remove Couponbar at once.

Internet Explorer Toolbar. It is marketed as an online Coupon resource, but to a moderate extent it invades private and secured information stored on the user's hard drive, such as Internet related records. Like other Adware-based IE toolbars, CouponBar advertises by adding links to a user's web browser. These links are for coupon offers on various products; clicking on a coupon will yield the coupon plus advertising.

    Re: How to remove couponbar

hello, I have windows Vista on my PC I've got something called CouponBar on this computer, none of the suggested methods I've read have helped remove it, I've tried searching for those resigstry values and keys, etc. and none show up. here's the deal... there is no toolbar that shows up or icons anywhere, but when I go to Programs and Features or control panel to uninstall, there it is!! CouponBar and underneath it says it's using 92.3 GB!!!!! when I choose uninstall, up pops user account control, and when I click to continue with the uninstallment....the pop up vanishes and nothing happens at all, its always still there, I've never had this problem when trying to uninstall a program before, I don't know how this got on my computer and wonder if it may be different from other "coupon bars" people have had trouble with... I mean 92.3 Gigs!!!! how is that even possible???

    Re: How to remove couponbar

    • Locate the file that supports the spyware. For that you need to go to start menu after going to start menu just go to search and search for spyware.
    • Now delete that. That will be having some kind of error in it. If it does then go to task manager by using (ctrl+Alt+Delete) now go to processes search for spyware and End the process.
    • Now you will be able to delete it.
