login to your Router setup page and Open an Internet Explorer browser page and type type - 192.168.1.1 in address bar. and login to your Router setup page, you will find MTU, which will be set to AUTO, so you need to change it to Manual and modify the Size from 1500 to 1365 and click on Save Settings.

You didnt mention that its a wireless or wired connection. if its a wireless connection then You will have to degrade the firmware of your router. If you have WRT160N v2 Router, then only. Hope this will solve your problem.

Hi, I am experiencing problems with the wireless part of my wrt160N, v3, but not the wired components. I'm running it on windows XP. What do you mean by degrade firmware? THanks!

    Re: linksys wrt160n connection problem

Hopefully someone can help me. I have the same router listed above. My problem is that my PC seemed to be running a little slow so i restarted it. Now, for some reason my PC isn't connecting to the router. It gives my a message box saying that my security password doesn't match the routers password. I double checked it on my wifes computer and the router password is exactly the same as what i am entering. Thanks for the help...

As you can connect to the router using your Wife's computer, try changing the password of the router and then try to connect to the router using the new password. Tell us if it works or not.
