I have 2 PC running XP Home, and a livebox pro. I would like to create a local network to share my hard drives, printers, etc..
Someone could help me because my first attempt was unsuccessful!
Thank you in advance.

With LB pro, you can connect your PC in 2 Ethernet?
Here's what to do on a router (the PA)
- Enable DHCP
- Give ranges of IP addresses used
- Give the subnet mask
Here's what to do on the PC
-give the same workgroup name.
-install-file sharing and printer.
- Share at least one folder on a PC (specify read-only or update)
the PA has a pro switch so you can connect at least 5 computers.it is already in dhcp has nothing else to put those IDs for "internet".Right-click your network connection (on your computers) and right click on the TCP / IP must be dynamic.Remember to remove all firewalls (like that of windows, norton or other).
If you can ping the livebox, you have a good connection. You may need to make sure DNS settings are correct and firewall is disable. To make sure that your Windows Firewall is disabled, go to Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services/Windows Firewall and disable it from there.
