    Can't access routers settings?

    hi,
when I try to connect to the router(type 192.168.22.12 which is adderss of router)it times out. I am able to ping it, but cannot access the login page. When I use telnet from either of the other pc's on the network the message I get is cannot connect to port 23 of remote computer, connection failed.Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it? Any help will be extremely appreciated.

If you can ping it, then that indicates that not all communication between the modem and the PC is lost. Therefore something else could be blocking ie. software firewall on PC.

Have you rebooted your PC making sure that the modem is turned on first and settled down ?

Sounds like spyware of some type. download Then go into safe mode without network and run the suit. Let if fix any problems found. Boot back into regular mode and see if your problem is corrected. It not then you probably have a more deep routed spyware or trojan, like arura or neededware.

    hi,
either in bridge mode or plugged into the wrong port if a multiport unit. dsl and pc are both in the lan ports. dsl needs to go to wan port. you will know soon enough if the 192.168.1.100 ip assignment doesn't work

Access the device using hyperterminal, please follow the steps below:
    1. Connect a serial cable between computer and switch.
    2. Open hyperterminal>new connection and select which COM port is the serial cable connected on your PC.
    3. Under hyperterminal properties>click on restore to defaults button>set bits per seconds or baud rate to 38400 and hit apply and ok button.
4.If you are getting just a white screen for hyperterminal, power down and power up the switch, check if you can see the POST of the switch.
    5. If not, make a new connection and another COM port.

Once you are able to login to the configuration menu using hyperterminal, restore the device to factory default.
