    Can we connect 2 routers?

I was wondering if there was a way to connect two routers for like a Lan party i am going to have more than 24 people there, and the largest switch that i can find is only 24 ports so i was wondering if there was a way to connect 2 switches and have them work in sink so that there are more ports and so that everyone can play on the same game at the same time. All your help is greatly thanked.

What steps would you take if they were real routers? You'll probably find the answer there.

PS:-> Keep in mind that you will have VERY POOR throughput if you attempt to use a virtual router for real network purposes.

Not unless you have a commercial internet account. The normal home account will give you two internet mac addresses. Each piece of hardware, eg: router or computer
will take one. The maximum you connect is two routers.
A router will then route addresses to 253 computers, so you would need to put a switch or port replicator behind the router. If you hook two routers up, you could theoretically get 506 addresses.
Here is the problem. Each time you split the signal, the computers internet gets slower because you are sharing the bandwidth. With that many connections on one access point, it would be so slow, so it would not be practical. You also have a maximum download amount per month, (usually 60 gigs) so with that many connections, it would be exhausted within days.
While it is possible, you would need to increase you bandwidth account with your ISP to get satisfactory results.

Most modern routers or switches have an uplink port. If they do you can use a regular cable to connect the uplink port, not the WAN port, to a standard port on another router/switch and they will function together. If it does not have an uplink port then you can do the same with a crossover cable by connecting the regular ports together. With this method you can chain together several switches or routers. You only need to use one router to connect to the internet though, the other one will only need to serve as a switch. Mater of a fact it would probably be best if you used one router, and one switch/hub to do what you're talking about.
