Can't Uninstall Kaspersky

Helllo,

I'm having major problems with Kaspersky Anti-virus. I tried uninstalling, but I get an error message saying I must exit the program.

Anyone have any ideas on how to proceed to safely uninstall it. Please advise.

when it is running go to the icon in the taskbar and right click and click Exit and answer yes to shut it off. Then go thru add/remove programs to un-install it. When it is un-installed reboot the computer and you should be done.

I got this info from the Kaspersky site:

"Some errors might occur when deleting Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 7.0\ 6.0 via Start > Control Panel > Add\Remove Programs. As a result the program will not be uninstalled or will be partially uninstalled.
In order to fully uninstall the product:
• download the archive KAVremover.zip
• unpack the file KAVremover.exe from the archive
• run the file KAVremover.exe
• in the field enter the code from the picture
• click the Remove button
• wait till the dialog window is displayed informing about successful product removal
• click the OK button
reboot your computer"
