wifi signal perfect but not internet

    Hello to all.

I know the problem is widespread and I tried to solve it by myself, I searched many hours on the internet and did a search on this forum but nothing happens.

Out of desperation I ask you for help ... I bought a laptop last week. I want to connect to the internet in wifi but not above average.

It is a genuine HP laptop, compaq model 6735 with vista basic edition.

It works fine for internet with ethernet cable or usb. my ISP is free, is the freebox mode router with dhcp enabled. I use an SMC wifi usb key which works perfectly since I have a perfect signal of 100%. I formatted the laptop once where an improper installation is the cause of the problem but it does nothing whatsoever to connect with IE or firefox, firewall enabled or disabled. My antivirus is avira and the firewall is zonealarm.

I said that my wifi network is detected by the laptop, the name of the network is displayed correctly.

    help ,

Sounds like your router firewall is blocking. Perhaps you need to resend your password or tell the router to allow it? Unsure whether it's you or the firewall, but suspect it's one or the other.

Ask the owner of the Wireless Access point. They may use Mac address filtering...
