Setting in network XP pro and Vista

I have two PC, a tower with XP pro and a portable with Vista. I wish to put them in network. Could you indicate the procedure to be followed to me, or a tutorial allowing me to carry out the operation. With all my thanks.

Are they connected both to Internet? Through your Freebox which is as a router mode?

If so, they are already in network.

I sought the solution to give an answer. My two PC are connected to Internet and my freebox is as a router mode.

Thus indeed they are in network, but I seek with the progrmmer to be able to circulate of the one with the other to use the peripherals and to have access to the files. All my thanks.
