Diskless Network boot to play music

    Hey guys,
    I have a computer :

    • Intel P4 3.2 Ghz
    • Intel 965 Motherboard
    • nVidia 256MD DDR GeForce FX5500

I don't have a hard-disk drive, But on my latest C2Q with 4 GB RAM have 2x1TB and 2x500GB portable hard-disk. My question is can i boot from network? so that i can let my portable hard disks attached to the new computer and can i access the hard disk from the network while booting from one? I want my old PC for multimedia-only use.
Any help would be appriciated...! Thanks

You may make use of iSCSI boot functionality, iSCSI boot is a process whereby the operating system is initialized from a remote storage disk array across a storage area network (SAN) rather than from the locally attached hard disk drive.

A key benefit of iSCSI boot is that it localizes hard disk drive errors and contains them. With iSCSI boot functionality, the operating system is booted from the SAN and the local hard disk drives will then be recommended for SWAP files and crash dumps. This provides, tremendous benefits to blade servers and virtualization computing server environments relating to RAID management and consolidated external storage.
