How to Use Windows Skydrive as FTP

I'm looking for a simple machine to store files. At first it will never be large file, it is just to issue statements of work for school.

I stumbled by chance on the thing Windows Skydrive and it looks nice. It mainly offers more storage space than the micro FTP at Skynet.

The only hitch is that I searched on all sides and I can not find how to provide direct links to files for download. Is it only possible to use this thing as a pseudo FTP or files are accessible only to users of Windows Live? Thank you in advance

This is not true Gspace will not leave in time, it is a firefox plugin that uses Gmail to store files.

Windows Live SkyDrive provides a location for storing your files online, but it's not an FTP (File Transfer Protocol enables you to copy files between computers on the Internet. One computer must be an FTP client and the other an FTP server.) site, nor does it function with an FTP client.
