New D-Link router does not connect/recognized

Hello, I have a problem and I hope that I will be helped.
So, my provider is Alice ADSL and so far I am using the modem they provided to me and everything was working fine.
Now I bought a router of D-Link and started configuring manually, so I connected to the PC (which worked) and I made a new interface with the same data with the old modem, but the router does not recognize and I've no idea how to solve the problem, I can help?

    Thank you very much.

just a couple of queries here :

    1. did you install USB drivers for modem ...
    2. how are you trying to connect to the net ?
i.e. whether through PPPoE mode of modem or through a dialing software ?

Yes, I have installed the drivers for USB and there is a possibility that I must make a bridge and an interface pppoe to connect together, because with the old modem I had to make a connection pppoe in windows (then there was the connection of the modem with bridge and connection of pppoe interface).

Connect the modem with the landline phone and the other end to your computer’s CPU/laptop. This would give you a dialog box with a message saying new hardware found, you need to install all the drivers from the installation CD provided in the modem box.

Next open your browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press enter where in you will give asked for the logins to the modem in a dialog box, enter ‘admin’ ‘admin’ as the login credentials and you will be logged into the modem. Make sure you enter both the logins in small letters because the logins are case sensitive.

Go to the Advanced setup menu and click on the WAN button.

Click on the add button to create a configuration.

Enter the VPI & VCI values provides by your ISP ie bsnl broadband authorities which generally are 0 & 35 respectively.

Select the connection type as PPPoE and click on the next button.

Enter the PPPoE username & password which every bsnl broadband users are given via phone and click on next to save the configuration and you are done setting up the bsnl ADSL2+ super speed land line broadband internet connection.

It is obvious that in order to connect to the internet u'll have to dial the connection....

    U hvnt dialed the dialer....

If u r using windows xp... then go thru the following things.....

Plug in ur usb cable into the modem...

Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Network Connection -->

On the right Side there is an option Create a New Connection under the network tasks tab, click on it... A window opens

Welcome to the new connection wizard

Click Next --> Click Connect to the Internet --> Click Setup my connection manually --> Click Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username n password --> Fill in the ISP name BSNL DataOne --> Fill in ur username password --> Double click on the BSNL DataOne icon to connect to the internet...
