I currently have a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router and I would like to replace. I would like to know your opinion for its replacement by another Linksys or another brand.

As far as I know, take WRT54GL router. Its good and will serve the same purpose as your older WRT54G router.
I did not see a difference between the WRT54GS and WRT54GL, is that the GL is based on Linux. Are there other differences?
And BTW what do you think about WRT160N, I found it on a site. Is it slightly cheaper than the WRT54GL
GL allows you to put an alternative firmware in case of need, because it has more memory than the GS.
I too know WRT160N, it's just that the WRT54 is a value (even if limited to 54G) and is suitable for hackers like me
WRT350N! This is the only device that gave me so much satisfaction. 4 Gbit ports and Wifi N technology and a fairly powerful. But it is limited to 130 Mbps as it does a frequency range at once. With wifi, I do a 6 MB/s on average.
There is a version that makes N 300 Mbps. In my opinion, it is replaced by another. WRT600N?
If you are looking for a simple router, which is not necessarily equipped with the latest technology (802.11n), I can advise you for Netgear WPN824 ... I think that is the only version of DG834PN router, which is very reliable!
