Exclamation 【HELP!】What brand of router/switch/PC should I buy?

    Hi everyone,
I am a newcomer of this forum, and I do have some serious problems which I can't handle by myself . I wonder if there are someone kind to help me.
    The question is:
I want to lunch a netbar in India, but have no idea about switch/router/computer. Could anyone help to recommend some brands of router/switch/PC.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello friend,

Before suggesting you a very good router/switch/computer, I would like to know your needs and usage. Because you will find a lot of such models in India but it would be very difficult to mention which is best suited to you.

So hope to hear from you

It depends on your budget and it's an average one then go for CRT monitor, and Install 512mb ram with High data transfer frequency range because data transfer will be quicker and performance will be good, this will attract more user's.A 40 gb Hard drive is enough for cybercafe. Also install antivirus software that too with complete package and not the demo one, also manage 2-3 webcam for application and entertainment purposes.

This configuration is most suitable for your needs:

    INTEL P4 2.4 GHZ PROCESSOR

    512MB DDRDRAM

    40 GB Seagate HDD

    DVD COMBO/CD ROM

    FLOPPY DRIVE

    17 CRT monitor

    MIC with Headphone

    Web camera

    Windows XP Professional

    UPS for all computers

You require a decent router with built in firewall to protect you from intrusion and provide TCP/IP information to client PC's via DHCP.

Ask for switch 3com or Cisco based product as they are trusted networkin devices.

    okay,thanks for recommending.
Because the router/switch/pc are for netbar.
I need the router and switch to be stable and have good performance on security.
Pcs are mostly used for playing games and seeing online movies.
And cos the netbar is not too big, there is no need for me to buy too expensive equipments.
that's all my needs, and I hope someone's recommendation will be helpful.
