    getting rid of win32/FakeSpyguard

    I installed System Guard 2009 by mistake which is a fake security program. In reality, it is a Trojan horse. I launched Revo uninstaller to uninstall it but it reappears in the folder after uninstallation, even after manual removal. So I started: Malware Bytes and Avast antivirus and they failed to remove it too. Please help me to remove this nasty. Thank you

    Just download Spybot Search and Destroy:
    install, update, scan and immunize ..
    and your pc will be protected from most trojans ... (win32/FakeSpyguard and a known trojan spybot) ..;
    also activate the update auto or manual at least once a week..

    Re: getting rid of win32/FakeSpyguard

    I posted a similar question yesterday afternoon, and every single recommendation didn't work. Avast! didn't, Sypot S&D didn't, running virus scan didn't, and i was at a loss. The Manual removal didn't either.. What I did 11 hours after being infected was to figure out when I was infected with System Guard 2009, and simply restored my system to before that date, and WA LA! it was gone. Very simple, if in fact it worked, which is seems as it has.. Windows Security isnt giving me those popups anymore, and my computer seems completely rid of System Guard...HOOORAY! Give the system restore a shot..

    Just search in the start menu "MSCONFIG" and there should be an option to "restore to previous" or something with "restore" you can click and it takes maybe 20 minutes or so to do it..
