Technically speaking, it is possible! You would need a TV tuner card, to which you can connect your signal cable (co-axial cable), then you need some free software. You need to get a Nullsoft Shoutcast server running, and use NSV live capture to capture the WDM device that your TV tuner is. Then on the other computers, download Winamp, and connect to that IP. Over a 100mbps network, you could turn the framerate and resolution all the way up on the stream. This is all technically possible, but sometimes, certain TV tuner cards might not support NSV capture.
Cheez! i just had a curiosity to know if it is possible, actually i believed that it wouldn't be possible! this is awesome. but will i able to change channels from client computers? and any suggested TV-Tuner card?
The client computer recieves the streaming video the same way as we view videos online. so you cannot change channels! you can use any TV-Tuner card. now a days all the cards support NSV capture. If you still need the best go for ATI. All the best!
