Access Denied on LAN

Hello everybody,

I have absolutely no networking experience at all, but have managed to set up a simple network connection between my pc and laptop, so that i can share files/internet.

Internet sharing working fine, but if I try to access computer from laptop, I get the "ACCESS DENIED" message. This happens both ways (ie PC to laptop AND laptop to PC)

please help.........

go back into 'Local Policies' and then 'Security Options', and then select 'Network Access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users'. Enable it.

Also, when you shared folders, did you also tick 'Allow network users to change my files'?
And.. Does the user account on the server machine have the exact same name and password as you use to logon to the client machine? They all need to be the same.

Make sure the folders you want to share on each pc are set to share. You my also have to set the c: drive to share.
