Is Norton 360 slowing down the speed.

I have bought a Compaq Presario, with a 2Gb memory and it has 160 Gb hard drive in it. I would like to know that, would Norton 360 slow down my laptop?

Yes, i think it would slow down your laptop and it will cause problem while working on it. It is not a good scanner and you will not be able to detect viruses on your laptop.

I think you should go for some other recommended anti virus software such as Avira, Avast or AVG etc.

I use Avira on my computer and it seems to be good one.

I have read some where that Norton is not good one and it also slows down the speed. I would suggest you to go for Kasper- sky anti virus. They give you some thing around 90 days trials period of windows . You can try out and if you think it is good one then go for it, otherwise go for some other recommended anti virus software.
