Does a Pix 506 offer Dual WAN?

Does a Pix 506 offer Dual WAN capabilities or will I have to add something like a Linksys RV042 to load balance?

    Thanks!

    Hello DabbleGreg!

Certainly, Pix 506 Firewall does not include Dual WAN capability. So if you want to set up Failover or do any load balancing then you would need another router. If you want to know more about this Firewall then here is the Quick Start Guide:

I think the only way to do this was using a router with 2 WAN ports infront of the PIX (or some kind of routing protocol). I don't believe it can load balance or failover the gateway if that is what you are after.

Thanks for the help guys! Looks like we're going to add a Linksys RV042 for the load balancing.
