No remote access to Server 2003

I have a Windows Server 2003, I want remote access to the Microsoft "Remote Desktop Connection".

Although I have opened for the specific port number in the router and changed the port number in the registry on the server, I can not access the server. There are running F-Secure on the server, but as far as I can see the blocks as the standard setup is not for access.

I can access the server on the local network, but not if I try to access from the outside.

    What could be wrong?

    Following possibilities,
    1. Your forwarder in the router may not be correct
    2. Firewall router blocker (if you have one and stood for)
    3. If F-Secure includes a software firewall, you may only "Authorized by the country" so check fw / app in it.

And you should know that win2k3 SRV in some cases can start up without Terminal service comes up correctly. But if you can rdp from your country is as it should be.

    1. The router I have been looking at several times and I am quite sure that port forward is ok in the router.

    2. Firewall is turned on, but currently allows the traffic on the specified port, so I can not see that it would be the problem.

    3. Now as I know your third point - F-Secure, which I'm not so sure that the program is so new to me. I do not have the vast knowledge of the virus program and has sat and messed around with it, and I can not see that the program makes no difference between external and local traffic. It may be I am wrong.

I suppose it is F-Secure Internet Security 2009 you have.
Now, I know not direct F-Secure but the many ways I have now tested have almost all been "Application ACL" ie. In other words, "a reglset per program to manage programs from accessing the network / internet". But where to find it I cant answer.

But conversely, is there a simple way to test it on (but not optimal but now, however, you are behind a router with firewall) and it is to temporarily stop the "firewall" in F-Secure and then test.

BTW, I suppose you also have reboot after the change of registry?
And for safety sake it is this you have intended: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control
    \ Terminal Server \ WinStations \ RDP-TCP "DWORD =" Port Number "
