Pc starts and nothing opens: virus?

I downloaded a screensaver and then've deleted it. The same day I downloaded utorrent. At one point I tried to move the mouse, but could not turn off the computer. The next day when I turned on the pc, xp starts well, also mouse works but I can not open any file or application or anti-virus or Internet. In short can you help me?

Thanks for the reply. I will try to download it tonight from my 2nd pc because right now I am in office. Hope that the internet on the 2nd pc is still alive or I will have to fiddle internet settings also.

I started in Safe Mode and then I managed to analyse the computer with norton and cc cleaner .... What was found is A0051461.exe (adware.instafinder), dgi.EXE (download adware), eztsetup.exe (adware.webrebates), which sounds to be quarataine. However, I still have to launch HijackThis and I will paste a copy of the reply here. Thanks
