help with generic8.GHY trojan

I am on a Windows XP system & I use AVG Free Edition as my antivirus. Recently AVG found a generic8.GHY trojan on my usb drive so it deleted its folder from the usb. Now, I want this files back from the folder but I cant seem to find it any longer although the drive has not recovered any extra space so I think that this files are still there. Is there any way to get the files back? Thank you.

trojan can be clean but if you going to clean from your computer then there you may require some luck also well i had not that much time to experiment so i connect my computer hard disk to my friend computer which having Norton antivirus updated version then i scan my hardisk from his computer that solved my problem .

Have you followed the guide mentioned in above reply by unidentified ? you can try out application name USB data recovery, i don't know if it works but have read some good comments about it.
