    You can go with system restore. This will allow you to get the old settings back and it is one of the easiest way to fix crashing issue. But there is no guarantee that the problem will not appear. Also you have to check system restore is not turned Off. It must be on. You can run some updates also and check out if it resolve the problem.

    i have tried that and it doesn't help

    Well, I'm not sure what you're saying you've tried but...was it "Detect
    and Repair?" (under the Help Menu)

    Also What version of Outlook are you using?

    You might try creating a new Outlook profile. See here:

    hi ben

    the problem started on june 11th after i downloaded some upates and installed them.
    I have tried system restore, but it does not help. i can format my machine, but i really dont wanna do that.

    System restore to prior to those updates SHOULD resolve it if those
    updates are the problem.

    I am getting similar errors - I just re-installed Vista Home Premium SP1 and
    Office 2007 Enterprise SP1 - So I don't have anything to restore to.

    Re: Outlook Crashes "Microsoft OUtlook has stopped working"

    Can I join the "happy" company ?
    It's been since a blue screen (Windows 7, 64bit) caused by a faulting device
    driver (it seems so to me), that is since one week that Outlook 2007
    Enteprise Edition doesn't work anymore. After the blues screen I needed to
    chkdsk /F (it took two hours !), but then the disk is clean.
    Outlook 2007 starts then it stops without any (any !) knowledgeable message
    (... it stopped working.
    I uninstalled and re-installed the program twice.
    I tried all the suggestions given in this thread.
    I created another user on my machine and i tried to open Outlook 2007 with "him". I started it without defining any e-mail configuration. The crash happens again ! So it doesn't depend on any (eventual) corruption of the .ost or .pst fils.
    The Microsoft Office Diagnostic says nothing interesting (everything looks
    OK).
    I discovered a file (created during the crash) that contains (among others)
    the following messages:
    Sig[0].Name=Application Name
    Sig[0].Value=OUTLOOK.EXE
    Sig[1].Name=Application Version
    Sig[1].Value=12.0.6212.1000
    Sig[2].Name=Application Timestamp
    Sig[2].Value=46e03e45
    Sig[3].Name=Fault Module Name
    Sig[3].Value=ntdll.dll
    Sig[4].Name=Fault Module Version
    Sig[4].Value=6.1.7600.16385
    Sig[5].Name=Fault Module Timestamp
    Sig[5].Value=4a5bdb3b
    Sig[6].Name=Exception Code
    Sig[6].Value=c0000005
    Sig[7].Name=Exception Offset
    Sig[7].Value=0003c699
    How can I recover from that very UNPLEASANT situation ?
    Thanks
