Fix for "Initializing the root folders to display"?

The problem that I have written in this thread title is very annoying, for instance, if you commonly use a VPN but are not connected to it 100% of the time. Any mapped drives will trigger the message when using Office apps. But you can disconnec/reconnect then with batch files but hardly the best fix. I have a question on this, is there a registry command that will change Offices behaviour in this area? thanks.

The error that you are facing appear when your shared network drive is unable to open. I am sure you had kept your files saved on some location due to which it is not accessible. You have to reconfigure the map drive once again and the see the issue will be resolved. It is simply not at all complicated to find out the settings. Just try to reconfigure the shared path and then check back.
