Can't send Outlook message using Comcast

I have been using Outlook 2007 for work email and I normally work from home through my Comcast internet connection. Couple of weeks ago, Comcast blocked outgoing email server 25 and sent instructions to use server 587. I tried updating my settings and even called their tec support, but I was still unable to send Outlook message although I was able to receive messages. Outlook was not supported as replied by Comcast and I needed to check with Microsoft to help solve the issue. The outlook works properly from my office where I connect through a different broadband connection. Any ideas?

I dont know whether Comcast supports Outlook or not, but you can try to contact their support for this issue - http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/

This may have been caused by a microsoft update (sent first Tuesday of every month). Try System Restore to go back before update. Have had this problem last month and again today (with Outlook 2003 not Outlook Express). Does anyone know if there is a workaround or patch? - hate to leave computer without critical updates. Also got the line from Comcast support about not supporting Outlook - they knew NOTHING! Changing ports did not solve the problem.

You will need to ensure that My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication which is checked and then the SPA option should not be checkedm as far as I know.
