How to edit network delay - Office 2007

I facing issue while using Office 2007. When I try to open or save a attachment I am getting a message on the screen saying initializing the root folders to display. That's all. Nothing happens after that. I the screen just halt on that place. There are some mapped drive in my system where I keep the files. Do you think it is due to that. I had checked my network which looks like working properly.

Are you trying to save the files on map drive. If yes then try to reconfigure them. Means map them again and see that your network is not slow. This kind of issue appear when the application is not able to locate the drive on the network instantly. A number of time it freezes and there is nothing you can do. For temporary you can keep the file on the desktop and then simply copy paste it from there.

Yep Bob's attitude makes it easy to differentiate myself from the other IT consultants out there. This is a Microsoft bug as far as I am concerned and only with Office 2007. One should be able to have persistent mapped drives albeit them disconnected. Which is my there is a /p switch available when running the net use command.
