Outlook 2003 - Cannot open Email Attachments

I have Windows XP with SP2 and Outlook 2003 with SP2 installed on my computer. Recently, I and an associate have lost the capability to open an emails that are attached to an email. We are able to open other dociments such as word, excel, etc, but cannot open emails. I did try to turn off the TrendMicro Antivirus and starting in Safe Mode, but that isnt working. This problem is starting on all emails with emails as attachments. Any help would be appreciated.

Even I was facing the same issue and found an answer on another forum, that we had to uninstall google desktop 5.5 for now and it worked flawlessly for me. So, if you are using the google desktop a lot, then it was suggested to reinstall a previous version 5.1.
