    Autocomplete is not working on Outlook 2007

    When I send a email to anyone from outlook it records the email address. The next time when I type some initials of the receiver in the to box, the mail id appears in the drop down. But now the same is not working at all. It is not showing up anything. I had checked out all the auto-complete entries but still it looks the same is not working fine. I hope there will be some other way available to enable this.

    Can be due to corrupt email profile. You have to create a new one and then check back. Or simply try to reconfigure your account. I think just by adding the profile once again is more than enough. It will give you a better result. That autocomplete thing is actually enabled by default. There are no special settings left in the same. If that is not appearing then the problem mostly lies with the profile.

    I am having the same issue, I have removed all mail profiles, I have also renamed the "outlook" folder and created a new one to start from fresh. I then created a new profile (as i had already deleted the others from control panel/mail) but i'm still getting the same issue, so after shutting down at the end of the day, i'll come in the next day and none of the names will be remembered. please help

    how would i change the settings?

    This worked for me.

    Where is the .NK2 file usually located? I just did a search and it came back with nothing.

    I like this FREE tool. It rebuilds the Outlook NK2 auto complete cache from the sent items.

    Easy to use and very sweet.
