How do I load office 2000 on Vista

I need some help to install Office 2000 windows vista. I think it might work with some compatibility settings. I am having some files that work only in Office 2000 or else it might not work well. I am having a Vista laptop on which I want to transfer all the files of Office 2000. It came pre-installed with Office 2007 and the files that I had copied are not working.

Even I agree with the same. I had tried to do the same but it is not working. I had faced a number of issue but still nothing worked. There is one way by which you can have windows xp on your vista system. It is called as virtualization. You can try that. Remember that it needs a good hardware resource to run the same or else it will not be working well.

What exactly do you want to do. If you want to edit Office 2000 files on Vista then still you can do that on new edition of Office. It is not at all complicated. Office 2000 files are completely supported by new edition of Office. I had modified them and saved in latest format. Some old graphics or formula might give you trouble. They can be missing. But if they are plain office files then it must work properly.

I am trying to load my MSOffice 2000 Professional discs onto my new computer, which has vista business as the operating system, in Italian !!
When I put in the first disc and go to Product Complance check, after inserting my codes etc the following message pops up:

"Setup failed to locate a valid qualifying product on your machine.
Please select a drive where a qualifying product can be found."

I am then offered options re my drives, none of which shows a qualifying product. So, the installation is aborted.

Where can I get help for this ? I am lost without word etc. Please ??
