convert mdi to pdf without loosing OCR information

I need some urgent help from you all. I have about 20 scanned books in .MDI format which I need to convert into .PDF file. I already received OCR information with the MDI Viewer. Unfortunately Adobe PDF doesn't like my text and can't find OCR information. What I want to do is to get a document where I can search for text any where i can add bookmarks and links.

Can someone please help me with the same?

If you already got the OCR then it is very simple now. Just save your OCR'ed text to a DOC and THEN convert to PDF. Let me know if you face any more problem.

First of all update your Acrobat Reader. Then save the mdi file as tif file. Now open and import that tif file in acrobat and save it as pdf..

solved: convert mdi to pdf without loosing OCR information

I had this problem pnce and after spending lots of time finally I managed to do the same. What I did was I got a software named readiris (a software distributed with hp scanners) there you can export OCR-text (over/under) the picture to a pdf file.

See if it helps you as well.
