Upgrade from MS Office 2000 Premium to Office 2007 Professional

I’m using MS Office 2000 Premium since long times. I keep transferring this from one PC to another as I keep upgrading my system. Now recently I bought a new MSI laptop and have installed the same Office Premium 2000 on the same and is working fine. But due to some reason I now need Office Professional 2007 on this laptop.

Regarding the same I wanted to know whether I can upgrade my Office 2000 to Pro 2007 without uninstalling and re-installing the entire office program. I mean is it possible to upgrade my MS office 200 Premium to Office 2007 professional with only buying the upgrade? Please let me know soon.

I doubt if you can upgrade Off 2000 to Off 2007 because as mentioned here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/su...754511033.aspx they have provided list of all upgradable office suites and I cannot see Office 2000 anywhere over there. I think you will need to buy the complete Office 2007 professional suite again and install.

First of all the URL you have provided is not working Epstein and secondly i think you are wrong. Your Office 2000 Premium Edition is a qualifier for an of the upgrade packages of Office 2007 http://office.microsoft.com/suites you don't need to 'match' editions or set of apps in the edition. Note that there isn't a 64-bit specific MS Office desktop app product line.

Help Anyone! I just purchased a laptop. My desktop and files for the past ?? years is done with the Office Professional 2000. What do I need to do to upgrade and still be able to get to those OLD documents and pwerpoints! Need ASAP.......... thanks cathy
