    Motherboard selection

    Hi,
    My existing Build:-

    Processor: I7 4th Gen 4770K
    Motherboard: ASUS Z87 Pro
    PSU: Corsair 650 W
    Case: Cooler Master Cosmos SE
    Memory : G.Skill RipJaws 1866 Mhz ( 8x2)
GPU: MSI R9 280X 3 GB Gaming card

Few days back ASUS mobo gets short and damaged. I bought it from Flipkart and because of their 30 days replacement policy they said they would replace it but because that motherboard is now out of stock, they are going to refund the amount.

Now I have an oppurtunity to get a Z97 motherboard which is latest in the market. I am planning to buy MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard.
I would like to know :-

    1. whether this motherboard is available in Nehru Place.
    2. Whether this motherboard is a good choice
    3. I selected it because I have GPU MSI R9 280X which do have compatibility issues with ASUS Motherboard

Please share your views on this and let me know if this mobo is available in Nehru Place , New Delhi.
If you guys feels I should go for another mobo, please share it.

    Thanks guys,

    Mike

    Re: Motherboard selection

I am using an Asus Sabertooth Mark 2 Z97 an it is way better than any of the MSI Gaming 5-7 motherboards. Most of the MSI product are made up of cheap quality and you can just tell by the feel, mostly the components on the mobo are nothing above average. Take a look at the GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-OC LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS which is also a very good mobo.

    Re: Motherboard selection

I was using ASUS Z87 Pro mobo and It got damaged in just 5 days.
I have heard that ASUS mobo quality is not up to the mark and their service centre sucks, refused to take back and replace the new mobo.

    ASUS SUCKS.

MSI is good in quality, the sound quality is awesome and better than ASUS and the service centre is better than ASUS. No doubt ASUS mobos r good in past but it seems they have lost their way now....

I have ordered MSI Z97 Gaming 7 along with MSI R9 280X 3GB gaming GPU.
This GPU has compatibility issues even though it was in the list of compatible components on ASUS website.
I have also observed that many people are complain of bent pins in the motherboad.
