    AMD FX8320 bsod while overclocking

I am getting blue screen when I am trying to overclock AMD FX830. The system has a 8GB RAM. I am not having a very high end configuration but enough for day to day gaming. I overclocked to get a bit better output on video conversion. But when I do that after a few minute the system crash with blue screen. Sometime the pc does not on for hours. I hope this is not destroying the processor.

Install a cpu temp monitor application on your pc. That will help you more in fixing the solution. Your cpu is heating up and you are ignoring that. Due to which you are getting the issue. It is always good to keep the temperature under control or else your cpu can burn down and will stop working forever. Most probably you are using a stock fan due to which all this problem occur. Just get a better fan and also check the thermal paste.

If your system is equipped with liquid cooler then overclocking is far more simpler. It will remain stable and will not crash like things happening now. You can buy a budget one from the market. This type of cooler perform really well. When you overclock the cpu heats up fast and the regular stock fan can't pull the heat out of it. A liquid cooler works quiet different. It cool down the processor fast and give you stable output.
