Can I use 3TB hard drive on Asrock H81M-HDS

Does a 3TB hard drive will work on Asrock H81M-HDS motherboard. I am having a 160GB drive already on that. I am going to get a new one for backup purpose. And I am getting a 3TB drive at a very cheap price. But I want to confirm before that will this drive work on my board or not. I had checked the specification but there is nothing listed. It only gives
detail about different connectors on the board.

Most of the new board supports around 2TB of drive. You have to change the partition type to get extra 1TB on it. There are are few applications available that can help you to get the entire 3tB space. But not as one. In different partition. You can use 3TBUnlock utility. Just install this and unlock the entire drive storage. This will be simply enough to give you a proper storage fix. Test this first and if it not work then update your bios.

Almost all type of motherboard comes with a unlock utility that can help you expand high storage on your drive. For asrock you can download ASRock 3TB+ Unlocker. The application usually comes in the motherboard cd. But you can download that online also. Through this you can simply get the entire storage space back on your system. There is no need to do changes in the bios. So just add the drive and check back.
